There couldn't have been a more perfect location for our second outing as a duo. Christ Church is a truly special place. It holds a gentle peace, which can be felt the moment that you step through the heavy doors. Open from 8.30 until dusk daily, it's a place that encourages a pause from a busy day, a moment of reflection and a welcome, no matter your faith. And welcomed we were, by Rev. Jonathan Haynes, the Music Director - James Druce and by an audience filled with positivity and kindness. The acoustics were superb, and worked beautifully with the songs we had chosen for the evening - a mixture of my own originals stripped back for acoustic guitar, and covers from the likes of Kate Bush, Leonard Cohen and Fleetwood Mac. you can find a snippet of the Kate Bush track "A Woman's Work" below. We're looking forward to returning to Christ Church either later this year or early next year. In the mean time, it's time to get writing!!
